Once you start using DontBother, you are deemed to have fully agreed to the following content, including any subsequent modifications we make.

Introduction

DontBother respects and protects the personal information and privacy of all users. DontBother is an emotional tool app that records "times being bothered." All data is stored locally on your device and will not be uploaded to any server. We have established principles for collecting, using, and disclosing your personal information in accordance with the data protection and privacy laws and regulations applicable in your jurisdiction, and further elaborated on your rights regarding your personal information.

The above data is automatically generated and stored locally by the app. It will not be uploaded to any server or transmitted to us or any third party.

3. iOS Lock Screen Widget Data

DontBother provides an iOS Lock Screen widget that allows you to complete a bother record without opening the app. The widget and the main app share data through the iOS App Group shared storage area, including: today's bother count, consecutive tap count, sensitivity settings, etc. This data is also stored only on your device locally and will not be uploaded or transmitted to any external server.

4. Information Generated by the Share Feature

When you choose to share a statistics card on the "Statistics" page, the app generates a statistics image locally and invokes the system share sheet. This process is completed entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit any content you share. The sharing action is initiated by you, and you choose the recipients.

  1. Related to the personal information controller's fulfillment of obligations under laws and regulations;

  3. Directly related to public safety, public health, or major public interests;

2. How We Share, Transfer, and Publicly Disclose Your Personal Information

All DontBother data is stored locally on your device. We do not possess, store, or control any of your personal data. However, for completeness, we still outline the relevant principles below:

(1) Sharing

We do not share your personal information with any company, organization, or individual, except in the following circumstances:

  1. Sharing after obtaining your explicit authorization or consent;
  2. Sharing under statutory circumstances, in accordance with laws, regulations, or requirements from administrative or judicial authorities;
  3. When you use the share feature and voluntarily choose to share a statistics card with a third party through the system share sheet, this action is entirely your decision; we do not participate in or control the sharing process.

DontBother does not integrate any third-party advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or payment SDKs, and does not share your device information or usage data with any third party.

(2) Transfer

We do not transfer your personal information to any company, organization, or individual, except in the following circumstances:

  1. With your consent or authorization;
  2. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or bankruptcy of our service provider, if personal information transfer is involved, we will require the new company or organization holding your personal information to continue to be bound by this policy.

We do not publicly disclose your personal information, except in the following circumstances:

  1. With your explicit consent or based on your voluntary choice;

3. How We Protect and Store Your Personal Information

(1) Technologies and Measures We Use to Protect Your Personal Information

  1. Local storage security: All DontBother data is stored locally on your iOS device, protected by the iOS system-level sandbox security mechanism. Other apps cannot access DontBother's data.
  2. App Group security: The Lock Screen widget and the main app exchange data through the iOS App Group shared storage area, which is also protected by the iOS system security mechanism and is accessible only to the DontBother main app and its Lock Screen widget.
  3. Minimization principle: We only collect information necessary for the app's functionality and do not collect any personal information unrelated to its functions.
  4. No network transmission: DontBother's core data (bother records, statistics data, preferences, etc.) is not uploaded to any server via the network, fundamentally eliminating the risk of data being intercepted during transmission.

(2) Storage of Your Personal Information

  1. Storage location: All your personal data is stored locally on your iOS device and does not exist on any cloud server.
  2. Retention period: You can choose a data retention policy (2 years or permanent) in the app's "Settings - Data Retention." Historical data exceeding the retention period will be automatically cleared by the app.
  3. Deletion upon uninstallation: When you uninstall DontBother, all data stored locally on your device will be deleted along with the app and cannot be recovered.
  4. No cross-border transfer: Since all data is stored and processed locally on your device, there is no cross-border transfer of data. This app does not involve transferring your personal information outside your jurisdiction.

4. How You Manage Your Personal Information

DontBother takes your concerns about personal information seriously and does its best to protect your rights to access, correct, and delete your personal information.

(1) Accessing and Correcting Your Personal Information

  1. Nickname: You can view and modify your nickname at any time on the "Settings" page.
  2. Button text: You can view and modify the default text in "Settings - Button Settings."
  3. Bother records: You can view all today's and historical bother event details on the "Statistics" page.
  4. Preferences: You can view and adjust all preference settings at any time on the "Settings" page.

(2) Deleting Information

You have the right to delete your personal information at any time, including through the following methods:

  1. Delete individual records: You can delete individual bother event records in the detail list on the "Statistics" page.
  2. Clear all data: You can clear all local data by uninstalling the app. After uninstallation, all data will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

You may also submit a request to us to delete your personal information in the following circumstances:

  1. If our processing of personal information violates applicable laws and regulations;
  2. If we collect or use your personal information without your consent;
  3. If our processing of personal information violates our agreement with you.

(3) Obtaining a Copy of Your Personal Information

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can directly view and manage all your data through the app's Statistics and Settings pages. If you need an additional copy of your personal information, you can contact us by sending an email to goint_studio@163.com.

(4) Responding to Your Requests

If you exercise the above rights via email, we may need you to provide necessary information to verify your identity. We will respond to your request within fifteen days.

5. How We Handle and Protect Information of Minors

  1. DontBother does not proactively collect personal information from minors. If minors need to use this app, they should do so with the consent and guidance of their guardians.
  2. For situations where minors' information is involved after obtaining the consent of parents or legal guardians to use this app, we will strictly fulfill our legal obligations regarding the protection of minors. Since the app does not collect any sensitive personal data and all data is stored locally on the device, the security of minors' information is fundamentally guaranteed.
  3. If we discover that a minor has used this app without prior consent from their guardian, and the guardian requests deletion of the relevant information, since all data is stored locally on the device, the guardian can directly and thoroughly clear all data by uninstalling the app.
  4. If your jurisdiction has special legal provisions for children's online privacy protection, we will comply with the applicable legal requirements and will not knowingly collect personal information from children under the statutory age.
